Air Brake Endorsement
This comprehensive 12-hour course uses theory and practical experience
to teach the driver how to properly operate, adjust and inspect
the air brake system. Alberta Government Certification.

proper brake system operation before the haul.
- How to use the brake system while driving and
what to do in the event of a malfunction.

Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC)
An 8-hour course designed to increase driver awareness on truck
driver professionalism while on the road.
Here’s what you will learn:
- Rules and regulations of the Highway Traffic
Act
- Safety procedures for passing, backing, turns,
merging and stopping at controlled and uncontrolled intersections
- Pre and post trip inspections
- Coupling/uncoupling
- Weights and measures
- Winter driving
- How to handle the tourist season
This course will remove 3 demerits from your driving record that
can be applied for up to 2 years on current or future demerits.
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
Understand your responsibilities and the regulations in place to
protect the public when transporting dangerous goods. Topics covered
include: incident reporting, classification of dangerous goods,
carrier and consignor responsibilities, placards, routes, documentation,
emergency response plans, enforcement and fines, package marketing,
training and certification, etc.
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
Learn about the information system used to identify hazardous materials
that are transported by industry today. This course will teach you
how to handle, store and safely transport materials that are deemed
as hazardous. Learn how to interpret the labels and the Material
Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) which are used to identify the risks and
recommend the precautions in handling hazardous materials.
Load Securement
This 4 hour course explains how to maintain a safe and legal load
when transporting equipment and goods, according to the North American
Cargo Securement Act..
Here’s what you will learn:
- The National Safety Code rules and regulations
- Proper use of equipment
- Working load limits
- Gross vehicle weight
- Weight adjustment
- Adjustment of the fifth wheel and trailer axles
- Load protection
Log Books
In 4 hours you will learn about Alberta, Canada and U.S. “Hours
of Service” regulations including current and future updates.
All graduates will receive official certification upon
successful completion of courses.
