AIR BRAKE COURSES IN EDMONTON

If you want to learn how to operate vehicles equipped with air brakes, Gennaro Transport Training offers the Alberta Air Brake Program. 

This program gives you the opportunity to learn how air brakes work and what it takes to operate them. Upon completion, you’ll be given an air brake “Q” endorsement as a requirement for your Alberta Operator’s license, allowing you to drive vehicles with air brake systems.

Air Brake Endorsement

Our Air Brake Course is scheduled every Thursday and Saturday. This one-day course consists of both theoretical and practical training, designed to give you the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a motor vehicle with air brakes. Successfully completing this course qualifies you to take the knowledge test at any registry office.

Air Brake Refresher

If you have acquired an air brake endorsement already and want a refresher, we also have a suitable program for you!

You can enroll in our Air Brake Refresher course that is designed to refresh your knowledge about operating vehicles with air brake systems. After the training, you’ll be given a certificate which you can use to secure or update your driver’s license.

Commonly Asked Questions

1. What type of examination will the air brake knowledge test be?

The air brake knowledge test is made up of 30 multiple choice questions which will be randomly generated from a pool of test questions. In order to pass the air brake knowledge test, you need to get a score of at least 25 out of 30.  There’s no time limit on this exam, but the test will end automatically if you answer six questions incorrectly. 

Here’s the good news: you can take the air brake knowledge test as many times as you want, but you have to pay a corresponding fee for each attempt. 

2. Is there a limit to the number of times I can take the air brake knowledge test?

There is no limit to the number of attempts you can make at a Registry Agent Office. But you can only take one test per day. 

3. How long will the air brake endorsement be valid?

Once you have completed the Alberta Air Brake Program, the air brake endorsement will remain valid permanently on your operator’s license.
